HTPA Local Chapters
Sharing Healing Touch with communities around the world.

“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
– Desmond Tutu
ABOUT OUR CHAPTERS
The HTPA highly values our chapters and chapter members because we view these local groups as vehicles for tremendous community healing; time for sharing and togetherness, creativity and active social engagement and support.Â
Our chapters are as unique as those healers that meet within them, each one being created with its own consciousness and vision based on the needs of those who are meeting or the needs of the community that the chapter is supporting.
There are no requirements for how often you meet and we offer flexibility in the activities that your chapter pursues. Some chapters meet as practice groups; some take on fundraising efforts; some volunteer together; some invite local speakers to their meetings and create advanced educational opportunities for their members. We have suggestions and resources to help you create interesting, educational, fun activities and we are open to sharing your wonderful ideas with others.Â
Local chapters have access support, encouragement and guidance from the HTPA Community Director.

START A LOCAL CHAPTER
Can’t find an HTPA Chapter in your area? We have a suggestion... Create one in your community!
With the help of HTPA you can reach out to local members, connect and create an active, vital community.
Starting a Local HTPA Chapter is Simple to Do – just follow the steps below
1. Login to your HTPA membership portal. Edit your profile to include the “Local Chapter Information (Chapter Leads Only)” at the very bottom of your HTPA member profile.
- You will need a chapter name, a brief description and whether your chapter will have a practice group. (Commonly a Chapter will be named to identify the area it is in.)
- The Lead/Chair must be an HTPA member, but others in the Chapter do not need to be HTPA members.
- If possible, include the names of the cities that will be included in the Chapter area in the chapter description.
2. Once you have added this information to your profile, let HTPA know your chapter is ready to be added to the public directory. Please send an email.
3. Once your local chapter is published to the directory, HTPA will make announcements in the HTPA Newsletter and on the HTPA Member's Group Facebook page.
4. All Local HTPA Chapters will be listed on HTPA website under Local Chapters with the Chapter name, city/state and the means to contact the Lead/Chair so others in the area can connect and join the Chapter.
5. Upon request HTPA will be available and happy to discuss on-going development, offer ideas, suggestions and encouragement.
6. The Lead/Chair is to post a short monthly recap of the Chapter's activities on the HTPA Member's Group Facebook page. The Community Director will send a reminder on the first of the month to the Lead/Chair. If no activity has taken place for the month, you do not need to create a post. Please use this Facebook page to promote your events, classes, and gatherings. You can post to this page anytime!
It's That Simple!!
