Purpose & Vision - Local HTPA Chapters

In keeping with HTPA’s Purpose and Vision, to unite and give voice to the Healing Touch Community (students, practitioners, instructors and friends of Healing Touch), the following are developing goals for Local HTPA Chapters:

Create Community – Local HTPA Chapters are organized and facilitated by specific local HTPA members but ALL, including non-members, are welcome to join in and participate (It is not required to be an HTPA member to participate in a local HTPA Chapter)

Disseminate Information About Healing Touch and HTPA – a variety of continually expanding resources (articles, research, class & event schedules/descriptions, flyer templates, etc.) are available to HTPA Chapters

Chapter Meetings - each local HTPA Chapter decides how often they will meet and what their meetings will consist of. There are meeting ideas and reports from other HTPA Chapters available. A listing of local HTPA Chapters is updated and posted on-going on HTPA’s website & Facebook and in the Energy Magazine. If funds are raised by an HTPA Chapter those funds will be kept by the HTPA Chapter to cover any operating costs

Buddy Program – HTPA Chapters, that wish, may connect to a Buddy Program that pairs a start-up HTPA Chapter with an established HTPA Chapter for support, tips and guidance

Participate In and Grow HTPA Chapter Projects – e.g. establishing local HT Clinics; Service Days for the elderly, homeless, military; Health Fairs; Brown Bag Presentations; Outreach to HT students and practitioners who have dropped out; Self-care Plans; Annual HTPA Membership Drive

Create a Local HTPA Chapter Newsletter – sent either e-mail or postal mail (New thought is postal mail is more effective.)

Develop Special Interest Groups – within your HTPA Chapter you may have different interest groups like Business, Volunteer, Speakers, Networkers – it will be fun and exciting to join together to do what you love to do

Join the Quarterly Conference Calls – these calls will be open to all HTPA Chapters to join together to brainstorm, share activity reports, ask how others have conducted their HTPA Chapters and what makes HTPA Chapter meetings interesting and inviting, etc.

Explore Group Media Exposure and Advertizing – once an HTPA Chapter is established there will be possibilities of finding like-minded individuals to develop co-opportunities with. It can be cost saving to join together to create a local group ad for activities, clients, classes, workshops, etc.. Press releases about your HTPA Chapter can be sent to your local media outlets about your activities

Potential for Group Discounts – many conferences, seminars, retreats, etc. offer discounts for group registrations - an active HTPA Chapter can be the pool for such group discounts

HTPA Chapters Can Influence Local and National Policy Makers – with HTPA’s alignment with the Voice for Hope, there is a training model available to prepare participants to visit City, County and State Legislators to offer them help to support Freedom of Healthcare Choices

***HTPA Local Chapters appoint a designated Chair that sends a monthly recap report to HTPA’s Executive Director. (This is a template form that is easy to fill out)

HTPA Chapters have at their core the essence of our HTPA motto: Together, we are the Heart of Healing Touch!
