MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Community Connections’ Volunteer Bank is to match qualified volunteers with opportunities for service.
VISION STATEMENT
The Vision of the Community Connections’ Volunteer Bank is to continually provide qualified volunteers for heart-centered service and to develop, collect, manage, and disseminate volunteer information.
Functions of the Community Connections’ Volunteer Bank:
- To be a liaison between HTPA Executive Director and Community Connections’ Committees
- To provide and approve Volunteer Bank applications
- To offer Volunteer Orientation
- To provide and keep current Professional Guidelines for all volunteers
- To maintain the database of volunteers’ information (searchable for location, skills, interests, availability, etc.)
- To transfer volunteers’ information to the Special Interest Committee(s) (indicated on their application)
- To receive and house data pertaining to Community Connections
- To act as a clearing house
- To publicize volunteer opportunities
- To provide Public Relations oversight (work with PR Committee)
- To respond to inquiries and requests
REQUIREMENTS to be a Qualified Volunteer:
- Submit Volunteer Bank application (approval notification follows) - Complete Orientation and Professional Guidelines (access to these is provided after Volunteer Bank application is approved) - Submit signed Volunteer Agreement (electronic signature accepted) - If you will be volunteering in the field, providing Healing Touch – you must have current Professional Liability Insurance coverage and provide a copy of your Insurance Certificate before participating in that outreach activity
